For this home in Bellingham’s Northshore neighborhood, timing was an important part of the project. The homeowners were having the exterior painted, so we coordinated directly with the painting schedule to make sure each phase of the work was completed in the right order.

Our crew removed the old gutters and downspouts the day before the painters arrived. We also responsibly disposed of the old materials, leaving the exterior clear and ready for the painters to prep and paint without having to work around the existing gutter system.

Once the painting was complete, Discount Gutters returned to install new 5-inch K-style seamless gutters with 2×3 downspouts in Ivory. The soft, warm color works well with the home’s exterior and provides a finished look without creating too much contrast.

We completed the project by installing gutter covers to help keep leaves, needles, and other debris out of the gutters. With the large trees surrounding this Northshore home, the covers will help reduce buildup and make routine gutter maintenance easier.

Coordinating the gutter installation with the painting contractor allowed the exterior work to move smoothly from start to finish. The home now has a complete rainwater-management system designed to handle Bellingham’s wet weather while complementing its freshly painted exterior.
